Membership software for associations, with the website built in.
Avistra is association management software with the website built in. Member companies, dues, meetings and email to your members run in the same system as the public site, so the companies deciding whether to join, the members looking for the next meeting and the legislative staff checking who speaks for the industry all land somewhere that looks and works like one organization. One monthly plan, from $149 a month.
One site for the public and the members.
The public site and the member side belong to one organization, so they should look and work like one.
Membership that makes its case
Each category of membership, what it includes, and one application the board can approve. A card is saved when a company applies and charged once it is approved.
Member companies with seats
A company joins as an organization with a number of seats, and the person who signed it up adds colleagues by name and email address.
Sign-in without passwords
Members get a code by email, so there is nothing to reset. Committee materials, surveys and model documents sit behind it, and a lapsed membership steps out by itself.
Meetings people can sign up for
The annual meeting, regional meetings, the day at the legislature: each with its own page, sign-up form and calendar view, and a list of who is coming you can download.
Advocacy that can be found
Positions, bills being watched and industry news, posted as they happen and set up so search engines, reporters and legislative staff can read them.
A board change is an edit
A new chair, a new date or a new line of text you change on the page yourself. Anything bigger you send to us, usually live the same day.
Your membership software and your website, in one place.
Members, dues, events, email and the pages themselves sit in the same system. One place you sign in to, one place your members go, and nothing to keep in step between them. And because every site is made for you rather than picked from a template, anything you need that is not on this list gets built in.
Members and people
Every member and contact in one record: what they joined, what they paid, what they signed up for. Membership types, organizations with seats, applications to approve, and renewal reminders that go out on their own.
Dues and payments
Take dues and registration fees through your own Stripe account. The money lands in your bank, and we add no surcharge on top of what your members pay you. Card details are entered on Stripe's own checkout and stay with Stripe, so your site never holds a card number.
Events and registration
Event pages and a calendar on your own site, sign-up forms you change in plain words, limits on numbers, members-only events, and paid tickets when you want them.
Email to your members
A drag-and-drop builder: start from a template, drag in headings, panels, buttons and pictures, and see exactly how it looks on a desktop and on a phone before it goes. Send it to everyone, to one membership type, or to a single group.
The website itself
Pages, posts, pictures and how each page shows up in search, all edited on the page you are looking at. Not a separate site bolted on to a member database. Here is how an edit is sent.
A portal for members
Members sign in with a code sent to their address, so there is no password to lose. They see their membership, renew it, read what is for members only, and find each other in the directory if you turn it on.
Everything a well-made site needs.
Your site stays fast, secure and current without your attention. When something needs changing, you tell us and we handle it quickly.
One plan. Everything included.
Design, hosting, security, backups and unlimited content edits, plus the full membership platform: members, dues, events and email. One plan, $149 a month. See the plan.
We take care of your website and your membership. A fully custom-coded site with everything your organization runs on behind it, in the same place.
- The website — custom design, built for your organization, as many pages as it needs
- Hosting, SSL, security, backups
- Unlimited content edits (how it works)
- SEO built in
- Members — records, membership types, applications to approve, organizations with seats, renewal reminders
- Dues and payments — through your own Stripe account, straight into your bank, with card details held by Stripe and never by your site
- Events — event pages, a calendar, sign-up forms in plain words, limits on numbers, paid tickets
- Email — a drag-and-drop builder: start from a template, drag in headings, panels, buttons and pictures, see it as a desktop and a phone, then send it to everyone, one membership type or one group
- A member portal — sign-in by emailed code, members-only pages, an opt-in directory
- Forms — contact, booking, quote and intake, straight into your inbox, plus posts and page settings
The longer you commit, the less you pay.
The plan starts with a 12-month commitment and the setup paid up front. Commit for 24 months or more and the setup is discounted, up to 15% at 36 months, and you have the option to fold it into the monthly instead, with nothing due today. Folded in, the monthly returns to the plan price after the term.
12-month commitment, then month to month.
Hosting, security, backups and content edits are part of the monthly plan. Anything outside it is quoted before it costs you anything.
A large site, or a lot of history to move across, means a higher one-time setup. It is quoted before anything starts, and it never changes the monthly.
The site is plain, durable code. If you ever leave, it goes with you.
What trade and industry associations usually ask.
We are on Wild Apricot, MemberClicks or GrowthZone. Can you take it over?
Usually. We rebuild the public site on your own domain, and if the membership moves too, the member list comes across from a spreadsheet export. Members sign in with an emailed code from the first day, so nobody needs a new password. Software the association relies on for other work can stay, and the site links to it.
Can members pay dues online?
Yes, through the association's own Stripe account, so the money goes straight to you. Dues can be paid once a year or as a subscription, and members who pay by check are kept current by hand. If your dues scale with company size, tell us how they work and we set it up to match.
How do updates work?
Unlimited content edits are included. Staff sign in with a code sent to their email and change words on the page themselves, add a news post or a new meeting, and send anything bigger to us, usually live the same day. Here is how an edit is sent.
What does it cost?
It is one plan, $149 a month with a one-time $500 setup: the custom design, hosting, security, backups and unlimited content edits, and the full membership platform on the same site, with members, dues, events, email and giving. It carries a 12-month minimum, and from 24 months the setup is discounted and can be folded into the monthly. It is never priced by how many members you have.
