Websites for clubs, built and maintained.
Avistra suits a garden club, a woman's club, a historical society or a rowing club because its site is read by two people: a neighbor deciding whether to come to a meeting, and a member looking for this month's program. We build it with member sign-in, program sign-ups and dues in the same site, on one monthly plan, from $149 a month.
A club site that survives the next election.
A club site should keep running whoever is president, with the login in the club's hands rather than one member's inbox.
It belongs to the club
The site keeps running whoever is president. When a webmaster steps down, tell us who is taking over and we change who can sign in.
Programs and a calendar
The year's speakers, workshops, tours or regattas in a list and a calendar view, with sign-ups where you need a count. Past programs move under Previous on their own.
Membership and dues
Who can join, the dues and what they include, and one application the board can approve, with reminders before a membership runs out.
The yearbook behind a sign-in
Members sign in with a code sent to their email for the yearbook, the bylaws and the minutes, kept off the public pages.
The clubhouse, rented
For clubs with a building: the rooms, photographs, capacity and a rental inquiry form, set up so someone planning an event nearby can find it.
The history, told properly
When the club was founded, its federation, its projects and its past presidents, with the photographs to match. An old club deserves more than a paragraph.
Everything a well-made site needs.
Your site stays fast, secure and current without your attention. When something needs changing, you tell us and we handle it quickly.
Two plans. Everything included.
Design, hosting, security, backups and unlimited content edits on one monthly plan. Care covers what most need; Grow adds the membership and event modules, booking and intake forms, and room for a larger site. Compare the plans.
A fully custom-coded site, hosted, secured and edited for you. Everything most businesses need, and nothing to manage.
- Custom design, up to 5 pages, contact form
- Hosting, SSL, security, backups
- Unlimited content edits (how it works)
- SEO built in
- Linked to your Google listing, if you have one
Everything in Care, plus more pages, the membership and event modules, and the forms that bring in work.
- Everything in Care
- More than five pages
- Membership and event modules
- Booking, quote and intake forms
The longer you commit, the less you pay.
Every plan starts with a 12-month commitment and the setup paid today. Commit for 18 months or more and the setup is folded into the monthly instead, with nothing due today, and discounted up to 15% at 36 months. After the term, the price returns to the plan.
12-month commitment, then month to month.
Hosting, security, backups and content edits are part of the monthly plan. Anything outside it is quoted before it costs you anything.
Above ten pages, or where the site needs more extensive work, the one-time setup goes up. It is quoted before anything starts. Never a higher monthly.
The site is plain, durable code. If you ever leave, it goes with you.
What clubs and societies usually ask.
We are on Wild Apricot or ClubExpress. Can you take it over?
Usually. Export the member list as a spreadsheet and it comes across through Add people, which shows you what it found before anyone is added. The pages, the program calendar and the history are rebuilt on your existing domain. Saved cards stay with the old payment system, so members pay through the new membership page at their next renewal.
Can members sign up for a luncheon or a tour and pay online?
Yes. Each program can take sign-ups with a form you describe in plain words, stop at the number of places you have, and take a card through your own Stripe account or be marked paid at the event. A program can be open to the public or to members only.
Our volunteer webmaster is stepping down. Who keeps the site current?
Whoever the club names. Unlimited content edits are included: they sign in with a code sent to their email and change the speaker or the meeting place on the page, and send anything bigger to us, usually live the same day. The member list and sign-ups stay with the site. Here is how an edit is sent.
What does it cost?
Care is $79 a month with a one-time $200 setup: the custom design, hosting, security, backups and unlimited content edits. Grow is $149 a month with a $500 setup and adds the membership and event modules, a rental or intake form and room for a larger site. Both plans carry a 12-month minimum, and a longer term folds the setup into the monthly.
