What we do withyour details.
Short version: we use what you send us to answer you, we keep it on our own systems, and we do not sell it, trade it or advertise with it. This page says the rest plainly.

The contact form
When you send the form on the contact page we keep what you typed: your name, your organization, your email address, your phone number, what you said you need, and your message. Alongside it we record the address your browser connected from, what browser it was, and the country the connection came from, because that is how we tell a real enquiry from the automated pitches this form receives.
We use it to answer you and to keep a record of the conversation. It is stored on our own database at Cloudflare and a copy is emailed to us. It is not sold, rented or passed to anyone for their own use, and it does not go on any mailing list.
The email list
The form at the foot of every page is for the Insights notes and nothing else. You get an email asking you to confirm, and nothing is sent until you do. We keep your address, the page you signed up from, the connection you signed up from and the time, which together are the record of your having asked. Every email carries a link to stop them, and it works immediately. You are never added to it by filling in the contact form.
Checking you are a person
Both forms are checked by Cloudflare Turnstile, which is how we keep automated messages out. It loads only when you start filling a form in, and it may set a cookie of its own to remember that the check passed.
Cookies and measurement
There is no analytics on this site, no advertising, no tracking pixel and no third-party script on any page except the bot check described above. Reading the site sets no cookie from us. Cloudflare, which hosts and protects it, keeps its own security logs and may set a cookie for that purpose. If you are one of our clients and you sign in to edit your own site, the edit tool sets a session cookie so that it knows it is you.
How long we keep it
An enquiry is kept while it is useful to us as a record of who asked for what. An address that has unsubscribed is kept, marked as unsubscribed, so that we do not write to it again by accident. Ask us to delete either and we will.
What you can ask for
Write to info@avistra.io and we will tell you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. We do not need you to prove anything elaborate; we do need to be sure it is you asking.
Our clients’ own sites
This page is about avistra.io. A site we build and run for a client belongs to that client, and what it does with members’ details is theirs to state on their own site. Where a site takes payment, the card details go to Stripe and are never held on the site.
