Websites for architects, built and maintained.
An architecture website is the portfolio: when a prospective client or a collaborator looks up the practice, the work should be big, recent and credited. We design, build, host and maintain it for $79 a month, and add each project for you when it is photographed. Lighting designers and interior architecture studios fit the same build.
What an architecture firm website needs.
Nearly every small practice site we have looked at is five pages: selected work, the studio, how a project runs, recognition, contact. No shop, no booking, no journal that goes dead in its second year.
Project pages grouped by type: residential, commercial, adaptive reuse, in progress. Big photographs, the design intent in a paragraph, and the photographer and builder credited on each.
Who the practice is, how you think about a site and a brief, and the collaborators you keep working with.
How a project runs from the first conversation to occupancy, and what a client should expect at each stage.
Awards, publications and press, in a list. Optional, and easy to leave off until there is something to put on it.
One form, or just an email address and a phone number. Nothing else between a client and a first conversation.
That is the Care plan. Five pages and a contact form covers nearly every small practice we have looked at, and a new project page when the photographs come back is an ordinary edit, included. $79 a month with a one-time $200 setup, and every edit after launch is included.
Your portfolio is the site, and it stays current.
Projects added for you
When the photographer delivers, send the set and the credits. The project page is live, usually the same day, with no fight against a page builder.
Designed like your work
Big photographs, generous white space and real typography. No stock imagery, no template that looks like every other studio.
No journal to keep alive
A five-page site with nothing that goes stale. If the practice wants to publish, we add it when there is something to say.
This is not the plan for a practice that wants a self-edited weekly journal, a jobs board or a client project portal. Those need a site you log in to, and we will say so on the first call.
Two plans. Everything included.
Design, hosting, security, backups and edits under one monthly plan. Most architects are on Care.
A fully custom-coded site, hosted, secured and edited for you. Everything most businesses need, and nothing to manage.
- Custom design, up to 5 pages, contact form
- Hosting, SSL, security, backups
- Unlimited content edits
- SEO built in
- Linked to your Google listing, if you have one
Everything in Care, plus more pages, email on your own domain and the forms that bring in work.
- Everything in Care
- More than five pages
- Email on your own domain, set up for you
- Booking, quote and intake forms
The longer you commit, the less you pay.
Every plan starts with a 12-month commitment and the setup paid today. Commit for 18 months or more and the setup is folded into the monthly instead, with nothing due today, and discounted up to 15% at 36 months. After the term, the price returns to the plan.
12-month commitment, then month to month.
Hosting, security, backups and content edits are part of the monthly plan. Anything outside it is quoted before it costs you anything.
Above ten pages, or where the site needs more extensive work, the one-time setup goes up. It is quoted before anything starts. Never a higher monthly.
The site is plain, durable code. If you ever leave, it goes with you.
What architects usually ask.
We add two or three projects a year. Is a monthly plan worth it?
That is the site the plan is built for. The monthly covers hosting, security, backups and every edit, so the portfolio never goes stale between projects. When a project is photographed, you send the set and it is added. There is nothing to renew, patch or remember.
Who lays out the project pages and handles the photographs?
You send the photographs, the project name, the type and the credits for the photographer and builder. We size the images, lay out the page and edit the description in your words. A project added to an existing portfolio is an ordinary edit, included.
What does it cost?
Care is $79 a month with a one-time $200 setup and covers up to five pages, which is nearly every small practice. If you want more pages, email on your own domain set up for you, or an intake form, Grow is $149 a month with a $500 setup. Every content edit is included on both.
Our site is on a page builder with the portfolio in it. Can you take it over?
Usually. We rebuild it as plain, durable code on your existing domain, bring the projects across and retire the page builder. If your current site is built around something we do not do, such as a client portal, we will tell you before anything starts.
