Websites for furniture makers, built and maintained.

A custom furniture website should show the work the way it looks in the shop: the grain, the joinery, the finish, at full size. We design, build, host and maintain it for $79 a month, and add each finished commission for you when it is photographed. Timber framers, cabinetmakers, architectural metalworkers and boatbuilders fit the same build.

What the site needs

What a maker's website needs.

Nearly every commission-only maker's site we have looked at is five pages and one inquiry form, with a few commissions added a year. No cart, no inventory, no blog that stops in its first winter.

01
Work

Each commission at full size, with the species, the finish and the joinery named. Commissions, not a catalog.

02
Process

Design, build, deliver. How a commission runs, what a deposit holds, and the lead time as it stands now.

03
Shop

The workshop, the materials you keep, the machines and the hand tools, and who is at the bench.

04
About

Who you are, how you came to the work, and the architects, designers and builders you work with.

05
Inquire

One commission inquiry form: what they have in mind, where it is going, when they need it. And an email address for the rest.

That is the Care plan. Five pages and an inquiry form covers nearly every commission-only maker we have looked at, and a new piece when it is photographed is an ordinary edit, included. $79 a month with a one-time $200 setup, and every edit after launch is included.

Why it fits

The work, the way it looks in the shop.

Full-size photographs

Big images with the grain visible, on a page designed around them. Not a shop template with nothing in stock.

Each commission added for you

When a piece is delivered and photographed, send the set and the details. It is live, usually the same day.

Lead time kept honest

When the book fills or clears, the process page says so. One email and the line is changed.

This is not the plan for a maker selling stock pieces online with a cart, inventory and shipping, or one running classes with a schedule. Those need a platform, and we will say so on the first call.

Commitment

The longer you commit, the less you pay.

Every plan starts with a 12-month commitment and the setup paid today. Commit for 18 months or more and the setup is folded into the monthly instead, with nothing due today, and discounted up to 15% at 36 months. After the term, the price returns to the plan.

Inside the plan

Hosting, security, backups and content edits are part of the monthly plan. Anything outside it is quoted before it costs you anything.

Larger sites

Above ten pages, or where the site needs more extensive work, the one-time setup goes up. It is quoted before anything starts. Never a higher monthly.

Yours to keep

The site is plain, durable code. If you ever leave, it goes with you.

Common questions

What furniture makers and timber framers usually ask.

We finish a few commissions a year. Is a monthly plan worth it?

That is the site the plan is built for. The monthly covers hosting, security, backups and every edit, so the work never goes stale between deliveries. When a piece is photographed, you send the set and it is added. There is nothing to renew, patch or remember.

Can the site say we are booked out without turning people away?

Yes. The process page carries the current lead time in plain words, and the inquiry form still takes the request. When the book changes, you email us and the line changes. A stated lead time reads as a full book, not a closed door.

What does it cost?

Care is $79 a month with a one-time $200 setup and covers up to five pages, which is nearly every commission-only maker. If you want more pages, email on your own domain set up for you, or an intake form, Grow is $149 a month with a $500 setup. Every content edit is included on both.

We have a shop template with nothing in it. Can you take it over?

Usually. We rebuild it as plain, durable code on your existing domain, bring the work across and retire the shop template. If you do want to sell stock pieces or run a class calendar, that is a different kind of site, and we will tell you before anything starts.

Ready before the finish cures.

Tell us about the shop and we will reply within a business day.
